FOBS (Friends of Bridgerule School)

At Bridgerule Church of England Primary School, we have an active PTA called Friends of Bridgerule School  (FOBS). This group is open to any parent/carer with a child at the school as well as any member of staff or Governor, or indeed anybody wishing to be part of our school community. The idea is to work closely with the school to support financially in any area that will benefit all the children. Some of the things that have recently received help from FOBS include new iPads, the Christmas pantomime and leavers hoodies.

This group meets every half term to discuss school requests and organise future fundraising events, which have included a ramble and barbeque, bingo, an Easter Fair and various raffles. FOBS also organise some fun activities for the children and the pre-loved uniform shop.

The group is always welcoming to new members and fresh fundraising ideas, as well as donations of any sort. Without the combination of this group, supportive family and friends, along with close liaisons with the school, the children would not benefit from some of these wonderful extra activities to support their learning at school.

If anyone is interested in joining this group please don’t hesitate to enquire in the office.

  • Outdoor Play Equipment £362.
  • School Trip National Aquarium £417.
  • Tool boards £389.
  • Cobbaton School Trip £155.
  • Pantomime Coach & Tickets £432.

We have just raised £10,000 to enable school to have an outside shelter/classroom on the school grounds!  We achieved this through grant applications and a huge fundraising event in February 2022 - thank you to our amazing families who supported children in raising money by doing jobs, having a pizza party or organising a camp!

We have a brilliant team and are always looking for new members to come and join us; we are a friendly bunch although many of us you may not see at the school gates due to work and other commitments.
