Junk Model Bridges
We all became brilliant engineers on Tuesday, working together to create some strong bridges.

We all enjoyed watching a fantastic puppet show.

Rainbow Day!
On Friday Class 1 had lots of fun making and flying their kites.
Bridge Mill
We all had a fantastic morning at Bridge Mill, feeding the sheep, pond dipping, looking for mini-beasts in the meadow and trying to guess the names of the vegetable plants in the garden.
Mother Alison’s Visit
It was lovely to see Mother Alison on Tuesday afternoon. She came into school, read us the story of “What Happened to You?” about a boy called Jo who was playing pirates at the playground, when all the children kept asking him what happened to his leg. This lead to lots of conversations about how we are all unique. Mother Alison then let the children choose a beautifully knitted bear to take home for them to love and take care of.

Plymouth Aquarium
Class 1 had an amazing time at Plymouth Aquarium. There was a real sense of excitement and awe as we watched the different sea creatures. In the afternoon we became scientists and found out how the salt in sea water helps the fish to float and learnt about the different ways that fish and whales eat plankton.
Tennis
On Monday afternoon, we had the first of 5 tennis lessons. We learnt how to hold the racket, practiced hitting the ball and an impressive number of children hit the ball over the net to their partner!
May 2024
On Friday we finished our topic on Ancient Egypt with an art afternoon, painting the pyramids and creating Egyptian masks.
In RE we created different stained glass windows using images from the Christian Creation Story.
Our runner bean plants are all growing well!
April 2024
Class 1 have been having lots of fun during their outside learning and science, making dens and growing beans, looking at wild flowers and planting their pea plants in the polytunnel. In art they have been drawing different textures.
