The Y6 children have just spent an amazing week in Normandy on residential. They have had so many wonderful experiences: visiting the famous Pegasus Bridge; immersing themselves in the life of a French school; going to a French market and choosing souvenirs for their families; getting to see the Bayeaux tapestry; watching a powerful film about the D-day landings at the 360° cinema located on the Arromanches clifftops; eating French food in a restaurant (twice!); experiencing the awe and wonder of the magnificent Mont St Michel where William the Conqueror stayed and so much more.
They made us all so proud with their impeccable behaviour, sensitivity to historical events, insightful questioning and their willingless to give everything a go. They also made some excellent friendships. Well done, Year 6 - you have done us all proud.
