This week in the FSU we have been talking lots about this weekend’s RSPB’s Big Birdwatch. We have been making worms with playdough, feeding (pretend) birds (pretend) worms(!), counting chicks and eggs into nests, making bird feeders and lots more. We have spent time watching the birds which come into our outside space, talking about what kind of birds they are and how they differ from pictures we can find, this was a discussion about a ‘Mummy’ blackbird which flew in to visit. Some of our time has been spent also investigating our outside space, finding ice and finding mud spread over the playground, leading to a clean-up time!
If you would like to join in with the Birdwatch, details can be found here.
