On Monday morning, Class 3 had a visit from Avril who is part of the Cleaner Seas Project based in Bude. The children learnt about marine conservation, plastics in the oceans, nurdles, how things end up on our beaches and, most importantly, what we can do to help save our environment and wildlife. The children really enjoyed learning about a new invention - a Cleaner Seas Microfibre Filter that filters out plastic fibres when clothes are washed. Finally, they made coasters and pots out of rope that had been found on Bude beach. They are already talking about doing another beach clean.
