It has been another fun packed two weeks in Class 1. Last week Mrs Crocker kindly came and answered our questions about what it was like at Bridgerule school when she was a child. It was interesting to hear about how the headteacher was thrown into the swimming pool, that all the school lunches were cooked at the school, the school trip that they went on to London and the games they used to play during break. After making bird feeders with the Devon Wildlife Trust on the last Tuesday we were inspired to create little bird collages, the Year 1 and Year 2 children have been writing instructions to make a Bird Feeder and the reception children looked at pictures of birds and labelled them trying to write the initial sounds. In maths the Year 1 and Year 2 children have been practicing their number bonds to 10 so if you have a spare 5 minutes it would be great if you could practice these at home too. The reception children have been comparing objects to see which are heavier and lighter and we have all enjoyed finding out which material would make the best umbrella in science.
