In our topic this week Class 1 have been looking at photos to try and find out about what children used to do at the beach in the past. Please can you share with them any photos you or members of your family have and talk about what you remember about going to the seaside when you were young. Last week, we were learning about the different natural and manmade things you might see at the seaside. So, if you do go to the beach it would be lovely if you could spot the cliffs, caves, beach huts, a promenade, harbour or even a stack. Unfortunately, our outside learning did not go quite as planned on Monday as everything kept blowing away in the wind. But we were resourceful and moved back in the classroom to create some brilliant art work in the style of Andy Goldsworthy. Last Friday we had fun creating flap pictures with creatures hidden under rocks in a rock pool. We really loved adding real sand!
