Class One
At the start of last week we talked about how Florence Nightingale made a difference and compared her to Mary Seacole. We also practiced our peeling and grating skills to create our own herbal medicines. In PSHE we have been talking about dementia and I was impressed how everyone remembered the items that were hidden under the blanket. Last Friday in Class 1 we had the first of our Play Project afternoons where the children enjoyed making various things out of junk, drawing pictures and writing messages. It was lovely to see how creative everyone was, how they overcame problems and helped each other.
On Monday we learnt about how Christians celebrate advent and created our own kindness advent calendar. So hopefully you should be noticing lots of random acts of kindness leading up to Christmas. I would love to hear about them all on Class DoJo. We have also started our topic on Australia by learning about Australian animals and had great fun making a Supertato and Evil Pea.
