Last Week in Class 1 we were learning and writing about firefighters. We have learnt about the Great Fire of London, staying safe on line, talked about how Hindus celebrate Raksha Bandhan and made bracelets for someone to show that we care about them.
One Wednesday morning the children used the poppies they had painted on wood to help them reflect during the 2 minute silence for Remembrance.
On Friday we had a fantastic talent show and I was impressed both with the children who took part by singing songs, telling jokes and even drawing a picture and the children who were an encouraging and supportive audience. Well done everyone for a fun afternoon!
This week we have been talking about anti-bullying week, designing our own odd socks and learning about how Mary Seacole made a difference. In maths, we have been learning the names of both 3D and 2D shapes so if you want to see how many different shapes you can spot around your house I would be very interested to find out.
